New York Times Reports Hawks May Be For Sale

No details, just their appearance on this list of teams Richard Sandomir and Ken Belson received from their sources:
According to sports bankers, the teams thought to be for sale include the Atlanta Hawks, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Golden State Warriors and the Detroit Pistons in the N.B.A; the Stars, the Atlanta Thrashers and potentially the Columbus Blue Jackets in the N.H.L.; and baseball’s Houston Astros.
Tip of the hat to Jeff Schultz.

Makes sense - it seems like the current arrangement provides nothing but headaches for everyone involved. It would be nice to have a clear head of the organization (like Blank with the Falcons) who could really set the tone and direction for the team.

I will give them credit though for spending money recently even throughout the ownership turmoil - resigning Bibby and Williams, matching Josh and taking an extra year of Crawford show that the organization is at least willing to spend to upgrade the talent on the court...
