You seem a bit pessimistic about Marvin's health. Is there some news I missed? Sekou says in his block that we should expect him to be back this series. He was apparently healthy to make a cameo in game 6 (although he was basically useless since he couldn't shoot).
Marvin could be a key to this series, if healthy. He's the only man on the roster who's capable of slowing down LeBron, and offensively, he has the greatest capacity for getting to the line. He's a big step up in his scoring potential from Mo Evans.
And here I am talking about Marvin's role in this series like it's going to be competitive. Though I do expect the Hawks to salvage a home game after getting blown out in Cleveland.
Cavs in 4 or 7, as stupid as that sounds...I think that if we summon the strength to win game 3, the guys will feed off the crowd and energy and we're going all the way to 7. If we go down 3-0, it's over.
For all the hate on Jon Barry, I think his message is getting a little lost in the presentation.
While its the most this team's accomplished in a decade, it still hasn't done anything. The chasm between us as the 4 seed and the Top 3 East teams was a mile-wide. And we basically seem to have more or less peaked unless we add some outside talent or Josh Smith magically wakes up one day and decides to be a consistent, smart player night-in, night-out.
So I see Barry's point. Congrats, we won the worst opening round series, only to earn the right to get it handed to us in the second round. At least we'll get to say the world champs beat us both years in our return to the playoffs.

I don't know anything anyone else doesn't about Marvin's health. I'm pessimistic because 1) He only played 17 minutes in Game 1 because he had neither his legs nor his wind after missing 16 games and 2) He was completely incapable of using his right hand in Game 6. Yet he played. After seeing that, I don't put as much weight on his reported readiness.
If he's back and able to play 24 or more minutes, I'd be much more confident about the Hawks winning Game 3 or 4, but he's the only guy who can slow down LeBron even intermittently and the Hawks can't double LeBron constantly and help on Mo Williams as much as they'll likely have to.

No, but I'm a big Marvin Williams fan. I fear what will happen without him to slow LeBron a little bit.
I'd be more surprised by Cleveland blowing the Hawks out in Atlanta than the Hawks winning one at home.
