Joe Johnson Is Definitely Out Tonight

Per Sekou Smith:
Johnson missed the past two days of practice with what coach Mike Woodson described as “some sort of viral infection.” He listed him as day-to-day, and Johnson did not travel with the team to Minnesota.
Also, Acie Law IV has missed practice the last two days:
Acie Law IV was in his hometown of Dallas to be with his ailing grandfather. He also missed practice Monday and Tuesday but is expected to meet the team in Minnesota.
And, Thomas Gardner missed at least one practice with "flu-like symptoms." A Flip Murray/Mario West backcourt looms as a real possibility and I can't pretend it doesn't interest me.

Mike Woodson took a good-humored and philosophical approach to the absences:
"We’ve got great timing, huh? All we can do is go with what we’ve got and do whatever it takes to get out of there with a win."

At least we have a chance with Joe out, unlike in years past where we might as well just have forfeited the game and saved everyone the trouble if he wasn't going to play.

Gonna need a big night out of Flip, Bibby to be on, Josh to be on good behavior, and Al to play at least some to do it though...
