I liked Michael Wallace's answer to the last question, but I don't know if 16 games is going to be enough shorter for the Hawks to feel like the season is more "Sprint" than "Grind." Perhaps if they were playing a 50 game season like in 1998-99, they might respond with a more fevered pace.
I think the main difference is an abbreviated preseason schedule gives Larry Drew less time to work on establishing an offense instead of relying heavily on isolations and 18 footers.
