The Hawks showed two years ago that they were quitters in the Orlando series....I was there...Joe Johnson and Josh Smith QUIT. It cost Mike Woodson his job!

Larry Drew did the right thing by not tolerating this. To the Hawks credit they came out and played hard against Cleveland, and Josh quit launching jumpers from 18 feet.

Coach Drew is a gutsy, stand up guy to call the Hawks out on this.

An absolutely idiotic article. The Hawks have 1 bad game against a quality opponent and people want to say the coach is terrible. What happend against the Cavs the following night? The Hawks came out and played with some passion, albiet against an inferior team. Lets not forget that the Hawks are missing their best player (by far best player). Larry Drew is an outstanding coach considering what he has to work with (budget and players wise). To put it into perspective, Miami has 3 of the best players in the game on the same team, and yet the Hawks have a better record.

Hawk4Life not everyone has the personality to yell and scream at others to attempt to motivate. I'm sure there was something said and done to try to get more from the team. The bottom line is they played a good team in their gym and lost. We need to stop holding people to standards that don't belong to them. Everyone gets compared to great players that have completely different mindsets and skill sets. Joe is a great player, but he isn't the greatest of all time. He likes to lead more by example and not be a loud mouth and yell at others. So be it. The team is learning and so is the coach. They have young players and a young head coach relatively speaking. We need to start comparing apples to apples, instead of oranges.

I compltely agree with this assessment. But to add to it, this team shows absolutely "NO HEART' or "PASSION" for the game. Our "so called" leader...Joe Johnson does absolutely nothing to fire up this team and from a fan perspective...neither does the coach.
